It's an idea and I don't think it's a far off one. His weakness is striking out against lefties too much, he even admitted to that. However, Ludwick and Rolen aren't very effective in that position either so you definitely wouldn't lose any offense.

I've always been against the unwritten rule that catchers should bat at the rear of the lineup. In MLB2K12 I have Mez at #4. I found out he's not a very effective at hitting balls in the dirt or when they're about 6 feet inside. He'll improve over time though.

The earliest that'll happen is next year if he hits free agency. I couldn't imaging the Tigers trading him any time soon. That team is pretty solid.

I only hit home runs so I haven't noticed his running style.

All this Delmon Young BS. The guy has been on a steady decline since he entered the league. Look at the stats yourself.

Can you point out where the decline is? I see some low numbers in 2011 in which he was injured.

Well sir, aside from 2010 if you look closely you can see a slight decline. he's actually been rather consistent. So I guess I can say that I looked at the numbers too quick? Something like that. But he still did attempt to injure an umpire by throwing a bat at him.

I wonder what the price tag on him will be. I'm thinking about $8.

I'd say a slight decline but nothing that'd sound any alarms.

I've never seen that video. That's absolutely hilarious. I don't believe in umpire abuse but the video almost looks like it was edited because that bat toss was about a 9/10.

Two players I think the Reds missed on is Ibanez and Damon both lefties. Bigger problem is us hitting RH pitching.
Damon could leadoff and let BP hit 4 vs LH vs RH use Bruce in 4 spot
A guy like Ibanez could be a good LH bat so guys like RH Westbrook do not kill us
Both guys are making less than 2 Million this year.
