Hold on now! Acta has done plenty of revenge stuff with cleveland. just last week he was trying to hit someone from toronto for hitting Choo. And i remember carrasco hit a guy in the head last year as a revenge shot, something i think Acta encouraged. Sometimes he goes way too far, and he is WAY too obvious when he does it, but a little bit of it is okay for baseball. Wedge certainly NEVER had his pitchers hit others in revenge. Thats very annoying as a fan. I like it that acta fights back but he is somewhat of a knucklehead about it and hes been ejected plenty of times.
Bottomline though, i think what Ubaldo did in spring training was completely okay. He didnt go for the head of tulo and the rockies blew it out of proportion. Hit the batter in the butt, give him a bruise, teach the team a lesson for messing with our guys.
Sanchez really messed up Choo last year and he was in the right place to sound off on the issue. im sure their fans are going to pull the race card and say because hes asian he took it too personally (like in mr baseball) but he knew exactly what was up. even if sanchez didnt mean to, hes done it too many times to not get yelled at.
and hannahan has gained my respect. He may be a clubhouse leader this year, i like seeing him go right at sanchez over that, (i also loved the furious look on shelly duncans face, that was awesome).
its funny how the royals seem to have been involved in the most fights over the past 10-15 years. must be something in the water down in mizzou.
