I agree with laying off Lohse, and I've never been a basher but this news just took me a bit by surprise I guess.

I would like nothing more than for the guy to go out in 2012 and put up 15 wins or more and have a really good year.

I know Westbrook is looking good this spring, but I still think the team should have signed Edwin Jackson since he's a young innings eater. We'll see how the staff does with potential Carpenter health issues....

How many innings per start did he eat in the playoffs?

Garcia didn't eat many innings in the playoffs either. Maybe we should get rid of him too.

Derp.

At least Kyle has done well in Spring training. Garcia has not.

'At least Kyle has done well in Spring training. Garcia has not."

You know who else has done well in spring training?

Lance Lynn 11 IP 1.64 era and a .82 whip.

People whould keep in mind that other than the place in the rotation, it's Lynn not Lohse that's taking Carp's place.

And remember Carp's start last season.

Just like how Garcia's horrible spring last year really carried into the regular season.

That's not what I was getting at. I'm saying Kyle is doing well so he gets the start. Doesn't mean Garcia won't come around and we know the real Kyle will show up eventually.

We could also try Miller later in the year if Lynn and Oswalt don't work out.

Didn't Oswalt have back/neck disc issues last year as well?
