Let me summarize Duke's post, for those who can't be bothered reading it. Actually, I didn't bother reading it either... but it's Duke, so I know what it says...

"Whine, whine, wail, whine, Cashman, whine, wail, moan"

That's all. The day Duke posts anything else on this board will be the same day the Cubs win the WS.

actually, this one i sort of agree with. its about how the yankees were hitting, but the rays had fantastic defensive positioning, although very unconventional, that ate up a lot of our would-be hits. the part that i dont agree with is where he says other teams may do this. i think this only works for the rays since they have such young and talented pitching that hasnt quite yet developed and may be more willing to learn a completely different approach to hitting. i think this may be a revolutionary approach to playing defense that the yankees got burned on since they were to first to see defensive SABRE to this degree. with a conventional defense, the yankees would have had a much better looking offense

Blame Joe all you want for continually benching Brett Gardner. However, it's not Joe's fault at all that our hitters are largely dead pull hitters including Granderson, Swisher, Teixeira (only batting lefty), Martin. These guys are professionals.
