That is better than them predicting us to win the WS. I guess the Marlins are in for a disastrous season.

Remind how many WS your franchise has? If you don't know, ask the jail warden.

You got me. I will admit, those early years (from 1883 to 1980) were personally, really difficult on me, especially when you factor in the 2 world wars, korea, and viet nam. I don't really know how I got through it as an american, but more importantly, as a Phillies fan. I guess the good book got me through it. Good things come to those who wait, however. the last 30 some years have been pretty good in Phillie land.

Howard ending (another) disappointing PS by getting injured and Booed by his own fans was foreshadowing for the phightin collapse…

When all is said and done it will be one ring and one huge blown opportunity for a dynasty..

Think about this..the braves ran the division for 14 years…but they too couldn’t get it done in the PS but once….and now nobody even remembers those teams

"the last 30 some years have been pretty good in Phillie land."

Now let's see...30 yrs -- that's from 1982 to 2011...

The Phillies have been in 4 World Series -- losing in '83, '93, and '09, and winning in '08.

The Mets have been in 2 World Series in that 30 yrs -- losing in 2000, and winning in 1986.

So the Phils have the same number of WS wins as the Mets in the last 30 yrs.

Phils have been in the playoffs 6 times in the last 30 yrs.

Mets have been in the playoffs 5 times in the last 30 yrs.

WOW -- What a HUUUUUGE difference in the "success" of those 2 teams in the last 30 yrs!!!

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

"And its gonna to happen!!!!"

Whose gonna to happen? Wright's gonna to happen? Is that a phrase or is it epilepsy?

"Couldn't have happened to a more deserving bunch of fans from the GREATEST City in the world."

Being an Eagles fan, here's an SI cover from a couple of weeks back that you may have missed...

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/cover/featured/11718/index.htm

...and the hockey team that plays in the GREATEST City in the World beat the team from the City of Brotherly Love 5 out of 5 times so far this season. Flyers fans did beat up a Ranger fan, putting him in the hospital though -- that's an accomplishment...of a sort.
