Some areas are buried in northwern WI. Here in Wausau, there is still a good amount, but we had a lot of sleet that kept the total down.

What a weird day. We had rain and fog this morning, then it cleared up and we had sunshine with 50 degree temps, then it got cold and snowed about an inch. Typical crazy late winter/early spring type day.

More for Friday too. Although there is a chance that system tracks farther south and brings more to us.

I wouldn't mind it. It all melts within a few days at this time anyways. Especially because next week we're expecting a brief warm up to the 50s.

LOL! People are whining in Stevens Point because they didn't cancel school like most did, where much more (to the north) fell. They only had 2 inches there!!!!

They would be the laughing stock of the state if they canceled schools for that.

Pansies. Of course, the media around here is all from Wausau, and we have 7 inches here with 2 feet about an hour north. I guess they felt left out.

Where I grew up in Franklin, they only canceled once the whole time I was there. It was for -26 temps.

Well we have like 1 inch now and it rained all day so we kind of missed out. At least we didn't get the severe weather like parts of the south. Hopefully this spring will be less severe than last. If we have another extremely destructive spring, I will start to believe we are nearing the end of times.

Yeah my parents said they hardly ever canceled growing up. This is the first year in at least 5 years we haven't had to cancel at all. Maybe the snowstorms just weren't as big or timed right when they were growing up.

Really Stevens Point? You are a Wisconsin city, right? Growing up in the 'burbs of Milwaukee I can only remember them cancelling once when it was really cold and other than that when there was like a foot of snow or more.

It takes about a foot of snow for any school in Wisconsin to cancel. We've canceled quite a bit in the last 5 years though. This graph is interesting. It shows that the snowfall trends have been pretty consistent here over time.
