I'll say this...when Pedro is hot, he's downright scary. He's 9 for 17 over his last 5 games, with 5 HRs and 9 RBIs. Unless the Tigers pitchers shut him down over the weekend, Pedro has a shot at NL player of the week honors.

Pedro's hot streak is a blast any Pirate fan should enjoy for as long as it lasts.

But before people begin declaring he is over the hump, they should remember his splits going back the past 15 months....
