If there was a god, wouldn't he/she afflict a poster who says "get with it" in nearly every post with some plague? Isn't that a rather arrogant thing to keep saying? Does that fit in with your god's view of mankind?

What? I mentioned before that God is infinite. You do know what infinite means, don't you? Oh, the pain.

You think stating "get with it" is a sin?

And you do realize that just saying that doesn't make it true. It seems your entire argument for the existence of God is an argument from ignorance. That if man can't explain something, it must be God. It's nothing more than an insecurity with the idea of saying "I don't know".

You sound arrogant. It is very simple. I have stated that God cannot be proven, but there
are many reasons that lead one to believe in a God. The point that I was arguing was that science cannot show that something can come from nothing. Get with it.

***You do know what infinite means, don't you? ***

I know exactly what it means. It means it has no beginning and no ending, and therefore it is something that came from nothing, which is exactly what you are claiming is impossible.

So, yet again, did God come from nothing?

If so, how can that be? Because, as you said, something cannot come from nothing.

If not, then he must have come from something else. And where did that something else come from?

***Oh, the pain. ***

Maybe try some Motrin or something. Most people can engage in these kinds of discussions without suffering a breakdown. You seem really fragile.

Come on, get with the program. If something has no beginning, then it always was.
Got it? Good. This is painful.

Isn't pride one of the 7 deadly sins? Aren't kindness and humility 2 of the 7 holy virtues? It just seems that those who blatantly profess their belief in Christianity are so often the most unchristlike people around.

The way you express yourself is meant to convey that you know so much more than others. The plain truth is that you do not.

How do I sound arrogant? I'm admitting that mankind doesn't, and possibly can't, know everything. That doesn't mean there has to be something out there that does.

<The point that I was arguing was that science cannot show that something can come from nothing. Get with it.>

And there it is. The ULTIMATE argument from ignorance. Nobody can tell me otherwise, therefore God. And science doesn't argue that something can come from nothing, at least not the nothing that theists like to refer to.

You are reading me wrong. Actually, you are just guessing.

I never made the claim that because science cannot explain something, that this is an argument for God. I don't know where you got that from. Do you have a point?

You keep bringing it up as if it's an argument for God. Saying science can't explain something only shows our human limitations, it doesn't mean that you can get the answer somewhere else. My point is that your entire argument for God seems to be an argument from ignorance.

***Come on, get with the program. If something has no beginning, then it always was.***

Then where did it come from? You said something can't come from nothing.

I never brought that up as an argument for God. I was replying to 69 who believes that science can prove anything. And I have stated that God cannot be proven.

You are going around in circles. INFINITE. Do you get it yet?

I've never said any such thing. Stop putting words in my mouth. You don't like it when it's done to you.

***You are going around in circles. INFINITE. ***

No, I'm attempting to demonstrate that YOU'RE using circular reasoning. YOU said something can't come from nothing. Then YOU said your god, which is something, came from nothing, because it is infinite and was "always there."

So either something CAN come from nothing, like your infinite god and the universe we live in, or something CAN'T come from nothing, in which case your god HAD to have had a creator, which had a creator, which had a creator.... ad absurdum.

So, which is it? If you insist that it's both, then it is YOU who is going around in circles.

What is wrong with you lately? I will explain again slowly. Listen carefully. I never said that God came from nothing. I said that God is infinite. I said that something (matter, elements or whatever),
cannot come from nothing. I am now in a lot of pain.

Science evaluates credible, testable, falsifiable evidence of observable phenomena.
