People on this forum are as delusional about Smith as Denver was about Tebow. He is not a good QB. Do we really need to see 3 more years to figure this out?!

If Smith plays with the Dolphins next season he is replaced by game 6 because they do not have the weapons on offense, the punter (LEE was soo clutch its not even funny), the kicker or especially the defense that made Smith look better than he actually is last year.

Any game manager would have looked at least decent with that defense and special teams unit.

To me the Niners did the only right thing going after Manning. You cant assume that the defense will be as healthy as it was last year, and plus they play a first place schedule. They need the offense to be a part of the solution not part of the problem. Its the same thing Brian Billick did with the Ravens, he changed QB's Funny thing was that even though the Ravens offense was better the next year the defense fell apart because of injuries. To just put the Niners back into the NFC Championship game with Alex Smith is crazy. To put them there with Manning is understandable.

Smith's release is slow. He is slow at identifying the open receiver and panics to easy. The OL took a lot of blame for all the sacks because of Smith's indecision. You should have watched some of the games this year. Take time to read what some of the other team scouts say about Smith. Harbaugh is a genius with QBs and we all know that is no secret. Imagine what he could do with a talented QB?

You are right about the fumbles but it should have never gotten that close. It was the time of the fumbles that hurt, but they should have been far ahead before the fumbles happen.
