More fly balls are hit to right field. You also have to get on a ball quicker because there are plays at third.

It's significantly more difficult to play.

I wish he didn't have Boras as his agent, but we didn't get that wish either.

Do you know away from the wind-tunnel on neutral ground Callaspo out hit Beltre.

I'm not a big fan of Beltre. I'm really glad he's not on our team.

Oh geez, enough!

Just curious, why me enough?

Why not enough about the clueless people who think Trumbo can play 3rd? Trumbo could fart while playing 3rd and fans would call it a symphony.

He's the most over valued player I've ever seen on this board. People are completely clueless as to how mediocre he was last year and how badly he's has played third this year.

It's amazing.

Pray for good health, once your Ranger family gets a case of the DL's! it's contagious!

I bet you wish you had CJ Wilson.

I don't think you get my point, AG. We KNOW how badly he plays 3rd base, even though we might not think it's as horrible as you feel it is, and we KNOW how you feel about it. You really did make your point long ago.

People always went at me, well some people did, for putting down both Mathis and Wood so often. But even I didn't repeat the same mantra over and over and over and over a thousand times (or whatever figure is accurate), nowhere near the number of posts you've made saying Trumbo can't play 3rd base.

In other words, okay, we know how you feel about it already. Repeating it endlessly isn't likely to make others totally agree with you IF THEY DON'T ALREADY. I know you want us all to agree with you and many of us do.

I'm just saying the constant repetitions of the same comment won't change anything.

And that, dear sir, is enough of me on my soapbox and I will step down from it now. :)

No, he'll just say CJ Wilson stunk in the post season and he's glad CJ is gone.

Meanwhile the rest of us, here in Angels land, can be glad we signed him.

When someone presents a premise that is completely absurd and creates a thread based on such an absurd premise there is nothing else to say.

The entire thread is absurd because the premise is absurd.

There have been more absurd threads started based on the absurd premise of Trumbo being the everyday 3rd basemen than at any time since I've been on this board.

But you've made your point, repeatedly.

AG, saying it again and again and again isn't going to change anything. And since fans have no say in who plays where on the field, what difference do the threads make in the first place?

They're just discussions because fans like having something to talk about. They're not going to change the Angels lineup. It's a discussion board and no more but we already know how you feel about Trumbo at 3rd. Repeating yourself a hundred or a thousand times won't change anything.

What you want to do is change every fan's opinion (those who feel Trumbo might be able to play 3rd base) until they all agree with you, but that isn't likely to happen; we're human beings and we don't all agree with each other.

It would be nice if you could stop thinking that everyone who doesn't agree with you 100% is an idiot.

Shoot, there I am on the soapbox again, sorry.

Obviously not.

It's like suggesting that we trade Iztruis for Wright and then have a hundred threads (no exaggeration) putting Wright in the lineup.

Heck, lets invent a rejuvenation potion and then create a hundred threads about George Brett in our lineup.

I'm not the one saying it again and again.... I'm responding to what's being said over and over again.

Why don't you get on those people who keep proposing absurdity.

I have some spare time, AG, so maybe I'll do just that. :0

Just kidding. I was only trying to make MY point once and already it's spread into several posts (those "counting down" on how many times you say Trumbo can't play 3rd base).

As I've said in the past, I never put you on ignore, ever...so I'll just keep reading your "Trumbo can't play 3rd base" when you post it, grit my teeth, and tell myself, "That's just AG being AG." ;)

I get sick of saying it as much as you get sick of reading it. Trust me. It literally hurts when people bring up Trumbo at 3rd base. I wince.

Part of me wishes Trumbo would get traded so I don't have to read anymore of these Trumbo at third base threads.

I understand that, and at the same time, I know you like him. You do not dislike Trumbo.

I love Trumbo. There is a lot to love. I wish we would have never gone after Vernon Wells. I wish he was LH. If he continues to get on base, I wish he could play 3rd.

HE'S AN ANGEL FAN!!!! He probably cares more about the name on the uniform then any person in uniform.

If he retires an Angel, he'll probably be rooting for the team long after I'm gone. But things are what they are. I want to win. This year Trumbo is not an answer unless a couple players get hurt.

I have heard this Batting Order come up a couple times and think it would be pretty interesting.

1. Kendrick (2B)
2. Trumbo (OF)
3. Pujols (1B)
4. Morales (DH)
5. Hunter (OF)
6. Callaspo (3B)
7. Bourjos (OF) or Aybar (SS)
8. Iannetta (C)
9. Aybar (SS) or Bourjos (OF)

Wells would play for Morales against LHP and move below Hunter...

Our Lead Off Hitters were struggling horribly at the time this was brought up so it wouldn't have bothered me to try Kendrick leading off with Trumbo behind him. 7-8-9 is a nice touch too because there have been TOO MANY times this year where we just need a fly ball to score a run and we have back-to-back slap hitters (Bourjos and Aybar) or even sometimes we will have THREE slap hitters back-to-back-to-back who cannot get the ball out of the infield to score an easy run.
