The grey was the first style I owned. I would wear them until they were sweated through and fell apart. I think I had 3 or 4. I actually randomly came across them in an old hat box a few weeks ago. Since then I've just opted for the plain black.

I had a fitted black one for so long (it fit perfectly) that it faded into a purple color. I loved that hat.

I currently alternate between wearing two black ones with a yellow P and a white one with a black brim and a skull and crossbones logo.

I like the black one the best. It was their hat all during the 1960s when I was growing up.

As for the uniforms, my preference is for block numbers, like they wore with the sleeveless uniforms during the 1960s. To me, the simpler, the better. Block numbers are very sharp. (The old Steelers uniforms were the best in the NFL. These ones with the rounded numbers look ridiculous to me.)

We had Bay for like five years.

I also truly believe this organization isn't going to trade these players anymore unless it's to upgrade in a baseball trade.

It's amazing how well those things can form to your head. I have a black one right now, the alternate with the outlined P, it's the absolute perfect fit. I have a feeling it'll be turning purple sooner rather than later.

I hated to part with my faded one but my wife said it smelled. Women!

As to your thoughts on the font and uniform style, how about we go all the way back to the 2 piece tops, and eliminate names on the backs of jerseys altogether? I know that the Yankees and the Red Sox for sure don't have player names on their uniforms.

That solves the other posters problem of buying a jersey with a players name on it, only to have the player traded.

Just don't go back to that seventies style double knit. There are very few men over age 40 who should be wearing form fitting uniforms and Clint Hurdle doesn't qualify. I don't want to see that.
