Round Rock scores Joey Butler on a Yangervis Solarte single, then load the bases with 2-outs in the 9th, but the Express lose 7-2. That Roy Oswalt 5 run 3rd inning was a killer.

Bottom of the 9th in Charleston: In his third inning of work, Kevin Matthews gives up a leadoff double and 2-out RBI double before a strikeout ends the game. 7-3 Hickory wins.

Nice game for Jeremy Williams: 3-5 w/ 2 doubles and 2 K's. Not so good for Jordan Akins: 0-4 w/ 3 K's and a HBP. If Kellin Deglan can get his bat going 2-5 like today, you might want to put him on your radar. He leads the Carolina League in throwing out base stealers.

Bottom of the 9th in San Antonio: Joe Ortiz pitches a 1-2-double-3 ninth inning, and Frisco rides that 4 run second inning to a 4-0 win. Barret Loux goes to 11-0.

Bottom of the 2nd in Hickory: Looks like Vic Payano wasn't ready to pitch today. In the first he allowed a leadoff single to score on a double, and then Kevin Torres threw away a throw to 3rd on a steal attempt to let that runner score. And in the 2nd, he gave up a 2-out single followed by three straight walks to walk in a run. 3-0 Drive, now going to the 3rd.

At one point this season Grayson was hitting over .400. He's cooled down considerably. But he's definately on my radar. Franklin is just south of where I live, but I had no idea Lee University was there. lol

Bottom of the 2nd in Carolina: Randy Henry didn't get the first out of the inning until 2 runs had scored on a single, double and single. 2-0 and the MudCats are looking for more.

Top of the 3rd in Hickory: Victor is looking for an early exit. He's allowed another run on a leadoff single thtat went to 2nd on a groundout, a pickoff throwing error getting him to 3rd, and a RBI double. 4-0 Drive.

All I knew about Grayson was what I had read in post-game reports and since he was in Low-A I thought he was younger. He could be a valuable player whether as a future Ranger or someone to include in a trade.

Bottom of the 3rd in Carolina: Randy Henry ended up allowing 4 runs in the 2rd, and the Pelicans got one back in the top of the 3rd on a wild pitch scoring Edwin Garcia from 3rd. Then Randy Henry went back to work by giving up leadoff homerun....and now a 2-out double. This boy's not having much fun today. 5-1 MudCats.
