Love Rigley Field... never the Cubs.
Oh yeah... and Lou too.
I've just become MISERABLE watching this team decay under Baker.
That fat, toothpick-chompin a@@.
Haven't Cincy fans had enough?
If I were a Cubs fan. My question to you would be "had enough yet?"
Cubs fan? No. But I'd bet they get to the playoffs sooner than Cincy under this clown.
I know your not a cubs fan...but if you were...this would have been for you, but your not but it is still good to listen to...
I do believe after reading this thread quickly that there has been no mention of the man we used ot fondly refer to as WMP. .... yes, for you at home, that's Wily Mo Pena.
Also, Corky Miller probably rates at least an honorable mention wouldn't you think?
I'm glad you didn't overlook Brandon Larson. He was one of my personal fave busts.
The beetles will come out of their holes but Dunn was certainly far from a success. And arguably if not solely responsible for than right near the top of accountability for the doom of the first ~10 years of the new millennium for this franchise.
And finally, another oversite unless he was mentioned and I didn't see him. You can't have a list like this without having near the top of the list Edwin "EE" Encarnacion. The ballyhoo surrounding him as he ascented from the minors to the big club was huge. All that we have to remember EE by were those grip/rip groundouts to the left side of the infield, the popouts and of course the image of him chucking one into the first baseline boxes as a runner jogged to 2nd base.
Oh yeah. Right you are. I'll stand by that statement.
Under Baker the Reds WILL NOT reach the play-offs. Count me in !!! No money though, just my rep :)
Some good points...I only disagree with Dunn...5 years straight of 40 HR and 100 RBI is hard to classify as a bust IMO.
EE was and still in a joke.
You don't make bets retroactively.
