I owe a small business, for most of my working life,(40 years) I had
a W-2 and paid my taxes each month....had I known
years ago what I know now, I would of always had a small
business of some type....the benefits are huge.....and I am
talking about the legal benefits, the small business can buy
me health insurance, life insurance, car insurance, it can buy
me a new car or truck, it can take me and my family out to
dinner, buy tickets to pro games, pay a membership to a
country club, the list goes on and on and it is all legal.... so
get yourself a small business.......

No, you are too brainwashed by the Rightwing media to understand, I'll just put you on ignore like I have others who can't see the forrest for the trees.

It’s also widely reported that Rightwingers can’t follow a simple concept. It doesn’t matter what the “reported” tax rate for corporations is in the US because any major company doesn’t pay any where near that number. After your offshore tax shelters, and other tax loopholes they pay probably one of the lowest tax rates (actually pay) in the industrialized nations.

"Manufacturers in particular feel the brunt of our policies. It is 20 percent more expensive to manufacture in the United States than it is among our major trading partners — excluding the cost of labor — according to a recent study by the Manufacturing Institute and MAPI. Corporate taxes are the primary driver of this cost differential."

So refute it instead of hiding behind your usual partisan rhetoric.

Exactly my point! Corporations waste so much money paying lobbyists and then the lawyers and tax accountants and then the buildings to house these divisions to get the tax breaks that if you added that hidden cost into the equation, the "corporate tax" rate is much much higher at the end of the day than what is reported. That's why the cost of doing business in this country is so high.

That's just a study from Fortune 500 companies. These are the ones with the most political clout. What about the thousand other companies that aren't in the Fortune 500? Do you think they can afford to hire lobbyists?

Spin it anyway you want, the fact remains. Most major corporations don't pay the "highest tax rate in the world"

So only the major corporations count? You are only talking about a small percentage of politically connected companies. That's a solid analysis if I've ever seen one.

Many changes that the big boys lobby to get done to the tax codes affect all businesses. So your excuse that smaller corporations can't afford lobbyists is moot. They still reap the benefits of the changes in many cases.
