His location has been great, but some of the time he's getting too much of the plate though.
He's had 2 great starts, pitched about half a good game against your team before he fell apart and one start where he just was getting too much of the plate and was getting hit hard.
His biggest problem in the past was falling behind hitters, he's been excellent at not doing that this year.
He had a great approach this winter he said he's going to approach starting in a different way than he did relief and he said he knows he has to maximize his pitches, get ahead in counts and not try to strike everybody out and not be afraid to let batters hit the ball so he can keep his pitch counts down and stay in games longer ........I was surprised to hear that from a Cubs pitcher especially after watching Zambrano approach 100 pitches in the 5th inning for years.
He's also getting confidence and a bit of cocky ness which I think is key for him
