How long is the drive from Portland to Seattle?

I'm actually going to catch Amtrak. $64 round trip. 3 1/2 hours each way on the train. About the same time as driving.

I'm going to be in Portland in early June and was thinking about going up the catch the Mariners and Dodgers.

I don't know if all the teams are doing it now, but when you buy tickets on Mariners.com, you can actually chose what seat you want. Not just choose a section or price level, but the actual seat. I was able to get aisle seats for each game where the seat next to it was also available. Since I'm buying just the one, hopefully there won't be another single person buying those seats. Elbow room!

Tickets are more expensive than Miller Park. Upper level (Terrace Box at Miller Park) behind home plate was $45 including all the fees for each game.

When in June were you coming? Early June is the Rose Festival, which is a pretty big deal around here. Hotel rooms can get pricey during that time.

I'll be there the 7th-11th or 12th. I'm not paying for the hotel room, so I'm not concerned. My brother-in-law goes there a few times a year for work and his company pays for his rental car and hotel. I'm just tagging along and crashing in his room. I have never been there and want to check it out since I'm considering a move there.

I saw the Brewers in Cincinnati last year 14 or 15 rows back from home for $11. It was cheap since I only bought 1 on stub hub. It was a bit of a bummer going to a game by myself, but for the money my seat was fantastic.

Comeback player of the year Adam Dunn just went yard. Evidently he hit a big fly on opening day last year too. I think that was his only hit though.

Cool. Anyone see how the Yankees lost? I still feel bad that it was CC that was pitching. Only when he's pitching do I root for the Yankees. Sort of.

Carlos Pena hit a grand slam off CC and then later had the walk off RBI single off Mo. That's a heck of a day.
