I was in my 30's for the first war (Gulf) and then in my 40's (Iraq) when I went, not a very tender age but I know what you are saying - and oh BTW I wanted to go, I know they gave the orders but I would go again 7 days a week and twice on Sunday to defend this country.

Yeah, that 18-22 is a tender age...and that a lot of older people refer to them still as "just kids" when they get killed in Iraq or Afghanistan.

You don't join the army (fighting section of...) if you don't want to fight. Doesn't mean where you are being deployed is right though....
