I think the X factor(s) for tomorrow's game will be Frazier/Ludwick/Paul

Those three don't seem to be afraid of any pitcher and so far nobody has solved Frazier's approach at the plate. The guy can hit one handed homer runs for crying out loud!

Luddy has a .292 avg as a cleanup man pretty good, but he hits .364 at the 5 spot. What I don't get is Frazier hitting 7th. He's the hottest hitter on the team in August hitting .350 with 6 hr and 18 rbi for the month.

4 Bruce
5 Ludwick
6 Rolen
7 Cozart
8 Stubbs
9 Arroyo

That lineup cannot possibly be right. It is the same as last night except for the pitcher. That simply never happens with the Reds. I definitely picked the wrong game to go to on Monday night.

If you think Arroyo's numbers are bad, wait until you see Cueto's. Pretty sure Cueto was the one on the mound a couple of years ago when we were down 10-0 before even getting out of the 1st inning and pretty sure he was pulled before even getting an inning in. Point being that stats can lie given one bad sample size.

Stubbs will never hit eighth. That would take to much of his ability and feature is non ability. A lot of times the eight hitter has to been a decent OBP guy to get the pitcher up so they will not lead off the next inning. Stubbs is not good at that. It would also take away his ability to steal when he did get on.
Same reasons.

I like the lineup tonight. No Cairo at first. I would like to win this game because I'm thinking 2-2 this week at best.

Yeah, let's put Bruce there. 3 k's and a ground ball double play would do nicely to up the run total.

"Stubbs will never hit 8th...."

Dusty asked him about it and Drew said, "No."

Not the end of the world, but good chance of losing a game to both chasers tonight if Bronson doesn't bring his 'A' game. Crads starting their ace against Norris' 5+ ERA and Pitt facing a raw rookie to prevent a sweep, whose AAA numbers weren't even that good. Those two games could get real ugly in a hurry.

I'm calling 8-2 Phillies tonight. I have no faith in Arroyo to shut down the Phillies offense. Would love to be wrong but the Phillies bats have come to life and I don;t see whiffle ball tossing Arroyo cooling them down. Cueto shuts them down tomorrow and we get the split and that's ok with me
