Villanova makes a great thin crust. Not in the city. Off off main road in Stickney. Cant remember name of road. I remember all the lovely potholes though.

Hit the bars around Wrigley. Those are really fun for a late 20's drinker. They were for me. Agree with others who suggest Lou Malnati's if you want the Chicago-syle deep dish. I'm not a huge fan of that type but on the occasion that I have one it is from Lou's. For a steakhouse I'd head down to Gibson's (near Rush and Division). Best fillet in the city, IMO. If it's too crowded, Tavern on Rush is across the street is also outstanding.

If deep dish pizza is really desired, this guy should go to the originals of this stuff, Pizzeria Uno's or Due downtown in the city. Go to original locations. Still a great experience and really not that touristy for such icons of deep dish.

I actually think Due and Uno's are sort of bad. I'd rank them Lou's, Gino's, then Giordano's. Again, I don't prefer this type of pizza either. Was just trying to give the poster some suggestions. Lots of great thin crust pizza all over the Wrigley area. Pete's on Western and Waveland, D'Ags on Southport and Addison, Robey's on Roscoe and Damen. Those are three of my favorites.

The Villa Nova u r talking about is on Pershing road in Stickney. I used to pass it all the time but never ordered from there. Paisans pizza is what i usually ordered.

I'm with you, much rather have thin crust pizza, so those you have just listed should help the guy out. I'm not a fan of deep dish either, but Uno/Dues were the originals in that genre and would be good places to go if he really wants deep dish.

if your looking for Pizza, Chicago Pizza and oven grinder is my personal favorite. Warning if you go there on a friday/saturday night there could very well be a 2 hour+ wait

I want to say thank you to everyone so far, I have days to be around with nothing to do so I will try these places before and after the game

for the record, Im not really a deep dish fan, I prefer thin crust but I would like to do the "chicago" thing, so any other recommendations that you would say Chicago has which others do not offer -- please let me know (any other kind of food ,bar or event)
