(my 8th grade graduation present was a ticket to the Beatles' 1964 concert at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens--their opening acts were the Righteous Brothers and Dusty Springfield--she was a great performer with a soulful voice)

(yes--8th grade was eventful! on my actual graduation day, Jim Bunning pitched his no-hitter against the Mets...and it was before VCR's so we were watching it, postponing our partying for Father's Day + my graduation...then the concert in the summer...a less complicated world, then...)
