a 4-0 lead is suppose to last a few innings atleast...

Pavano actually pitched six great innings after a bad first. Other than that, it's been really bad.

I dont knwo about absolutely horrible. he gave up 5 runs in 2 starts this year and came into the game with a 3.75 ERA...

And our offense gave him exactly one run of support in both of his starts

he's been horrible? 5 innings, 1 ER and 7 innings, 4 ER is hardly terrible, especially for this staff

he did, and he looks great after the efforts of the other clowns.

the team insists on running out a pitching staff like this year after year and some believe they are really trying to build a W Series contender....

Tony is going to pitch, wither he is ineffective or not. The bullpen has been spent, so Tony is going to have to get some outs.

In his first 2 starts he barely made it 5 innings though so the era is a liitle deceptive. If he would have pitched longer it would be alot higher.

Man Willingham missed about 3 pitches in that at bat that he should have destroyed.

I heard that Granderson home run from the other room. I knew it was gone just by the sound

Exactly. Let's get the lead back and hopefully someone can take charge on the mound for a few innings

I am ridiculously embarrassed by this pitching staff.

I said before the season started that I wasn't worried about the offense...not even a little bit. I said I think it could score as many runs as they did in 2010 or even a bit more. ..and nothing has changed my mind. It's a well balanced team offensively.

The pitching is God-awful...

I actually like Swarzak he just doesn't seem to have what it takes. Some days he looks amazing, but too often he just looks average.

Willingham and Morneau both missed pitches in that inning that the Yankees would have deposited into the bleachers. Thats the difference between out team and most. We don't make pitchers pay for mistakes, you always hear Bert and Bremer say Oh he just missed that one. I would love to hear way to make them pay for that mistake just once.

yeah, can't expect the offense to keep pace with the amount of runs allowed.
