As an interesting aside name me a great historical mathemation who did not believe in god?
you cannot seperate those 2 things

Albert einstien was motivated by the search for gods grand plan in the universe.
he wasnt religious but did believe in a god

an he was only the tip of the iceberg..the list of great scientists
who forwarded most of the foundations that we base our science
an math on today ( a whos who of greats) all believed in a god.

People are spiritual
there is something inside most everyone that searches .
its part of human nature...why?

the question really is why.... why do people need spirituality.

Religion has definitely evolved over the years.

My favorite is there are several religions that would openly laugh at Greek mythology, but they have countless fairy tales of their own.
