Belisario came in for the eighth inning & struck out the side for his 9th hold. Jansen came in to pitch the ninth & struck out two, for his 14th save. No hits, no walks. Ron's ERA is now 0.99. Kenley's is 2.17. Dodgers win 4-1 over the Reds.

They're sure going off here. I wish my grandson was with me to see it. He spends his summer vacations out of state with his other grandparents. My daughter might be a bit too old for sparklers.

It took Belisario 12 pitches to pitch a perfect 8th inning for his 10th hold. It took Jansen 11 pitches to strike out the side in the ninth inning for his 15th save. Their respective ERA's are 0.95 & 2.11.

Yeah, but when you say good things about every player you're bound to be right sometimes. :)

I've noticed his speeds change anywhere from 3-7 or 8 mph on his fast balls. he mixes them up pretty good and it messes with the hitters timing....that's my .2cents

Belisario had an odd outing. He got roughed up while he struck out the side. In all, Ron gave up three hits, one walk, & two earned runs. His ERA ballooned all the way up to 1.53.

Kenley was his usual dominant self. He pitched one inning, allowed no baserunners, & struck out two. His ERA dropped to 2.06 in a 7-1 loss to Arizona.

I didn't understand pitching Belli and Jansen in this game. The usual mantra is to "get some work", but with the AS game break, that doesn't make much sense. It was a good chance to pitch Tolleson {sp}; we weren't going to come back with that pathetic lineup! Seems to me it was more important to limit the mileage on these two arms.
