You don't need Religion to teach Morality, since in what religion do you see pure moral standards that don't infringe on other's rights i.e. Women, Children, gays, etc...

For those who haven't heard my spiel before....

Religions have done huge harm and huge good. You can ignore one of those if you choose, but you're wrong.

I'm not sure that Stalin, who was an atheist, was a picture of how we think all atheists should be painted. Right? Gandhi was a devout Hindu. Who would you rather your children emulate? It doesn't make atheism "wrong" (although I think differently) and it doesn't make Hinduism "right" (although again, I think differently).

You don't have to be religious or anti-religion to do huge harm. And you don't have to be religious or anti-religion to do great good. It's up to you.

Consider the Episcopal Church. If the thought of Jesus Christ as savior gives you a problem, consider Unitarianism.

Um...I am an atheist I don't need to go into a building so that someone can read fiction to me, unless I'm going into a bookstore and my favorite author is reading an excerpt from his novel. Spaghetti Monster!

I am merely supporting your idea that the good or harm that religion does depends on how we conceive of it and serve it. I like mine with the mix of six Italian cheeses.

"

And you're entitled.

Now let's assume you and I both have an idea that could help hundreds of people but needs to be done by 7 pm tonight. It requires 80 people. Could you get them together? I could.
