Did anyone else hear it. I heard it played back on tonight's radio, WFAN I think.

Well a reporter asked Pedro how he felt about going back to Yankee Stadium and all of those "Who's Your Daddy" Chants, and asked him what he thought about it.

Now I was really expecting Pedro to say something like he 'loves it' OR maybe 'so what, who cares' OR MAYBE EVEN that he 'didn't even hear it!'

Instead he actually said, "that's old history and I don't want to talk about it. I'm sorry, but I won't talk about it!"

????? ......

He sounded like it REALLY REALLY bothers him a lot!

So, to all that are going to Game 6, let's make sure that it's REALLY REALLY LOUD tomorrow!

Not sure what the big deal is. It doesn't sound like it bothers him, it sounds like he just didn't want to discuss it in depth. Sometimes, I think that some of the journalists purposely bring up these questions to give a psychological edge to one of the teams.

Well the tone of his voice said that it clearly made him feel very uncomfortable, so there was something there for sure.

When my wife is jumping up and down during game I will tell her to chant "who's your Daddy", she swears that there are enough Yankee fans from the SE coast of Fl up 95 to NY, that the team can hear them. We sure hope so. Thank God she can jump up and down for both of us. I too darn old, but I can scream with the best of them.GoooooooooooooooooooooooooooYankeessssssssssssssssssssss. Tomorrow we celebrate #27, And hope and pray that fox, buck and mccarver disappear for ever. I hope that everyone on this board who complained about them, will send an email to MLB and Fox.

It was his own fault. Nobody made him say the Yankees were his daddy. LOL

How awesome would it be if everyone watching the game from home actually opened their windows and chanted "Who's Your Daddy" simultaneously, for all the world to hear. LOL

I think he's taken one to many mango's to the head!!! LOL
He's so hard to really read... At times, he seems genuinely hurt and at other times, very arrogant.

It was endearing for him to speak so highly of Mariano and I think he would like nothing better than for fans to feel that adoration and respect for him. However, since he beaned our line up for "fun" and since he handled the situation with Zimm and who's your daddy, he's achieved the love to hate status. As a result, I think at this point, he just wants some lime-light and if that means being a drama queen so be it...

Either way.... really loudly!!!!

Who's your Daddy??
Who's your Daddy??
Who's your Daddy??
Who's your Daddy??

Who's your Daddy??
Who's your Daddy??
Who's your Daddy??
Who's your Daddy??

ROFL!!!

That's interesting because before his last start he was asked a similar question and his response was that God is his daddy so he actually loves to hear it. That is exactly what he said.

Fortunately Yankee Fans have more class than those pils who threw coins at our outfielders, or Pedro would've been ducking more mangos over the years.

And I really was expecting him to play the whole thing up and say something like - bring it on, I love it. I was so surprised that he didn't.

But Pedro is so up and down anyway, you never know with him. He did have a lighter moment when he was asked something to the effect about what he would like his legacy to be; and he responded by saying that he hoped that he didn't have to wait to get his "props" until he dies.
And then, in the same context, he went on to make a comparison to Babe Ruth.

If nothing else, he really is STILL a character.

He gave up one hard hit ball in the 7th, and they never should have actually sent him out for the 7th. Hairston hit a little popup down the RF line to lead off the inning which is what got him out of the game. And I don't actually recall hearing any chanting in that inning, do you? So what would chanting have had to do with it?

There was chanting. I was there, and I was close enough to the field to assume Pedro heard it too.

Whether it had anything to do with him giving up the hits, maybe not, but it certainly was going on.
