IMO, he's one of the best signings we've made in a while. Great job by Damon. Great teammate, great competitor, true Yankee, proven winner, and just exactly the type of guy that this team needed to be championship contenders. When we got him, I was ecstatic, and I'm even more impressed with him now than I thought I would be.

BRING BACK JOHNNY ROCKET! One of the CLUTCHEST Yankee hitters!

As long as he doesn't ask for a big deal then I'm good. I would like to see him back. He does want to stay a Yankee and brought back next year. His defense is what scares me....maybe he can be a full time DH and let Matsui go? or if he retires?

Definately.

I hope he wins the WS MVP. I hope he has a HUGE game in Game 6.

I think he will be as big for us in game 6 as he has been this series and if he gets MVP I might get a little teary eyed. He usually gets no respect.

He doesn't and he's a loved guy. I don't care who wins the WS MVP but lets hope Tex, and Cano start WAKING UP.

I have a huge feeling Tex will get booed if he K's in the first 2 or 3 at bats. Hopefully not but he needs to wake up.

I know I won't be booing him. This late in the year, I'm gonna throw all my support behind our whole team.

The Bronx Zoo is gonna be as loud as it's ever been this whole year for Game 6.

I think this World Series bought Johnny 2 more years as a Yankee..

I won't be surprised. Most Yankee bandwagon fans post garbage when Damon makes a mistake or when he's struggling how he is still a "Red Sox at heart" and all this junk!

Without Damon we would be grasping for straws going back to NY down 3-2.

I think most fans on this board agree with us...especially after all this he's done. He's even upset that he couldn't get more than the RBI in the one time he got out tonight. He wants to win so badly.

Or, at the very least, a 1-year deal with an option for the 2nd.

I'm not so sure they agree, it might take awhile for them to post but they love to attack him. I remember last yr a lot of people wanted him off the team especially because of his lack of a throwing arm. If not for Damon, I don't think we'd still be playing, I really feel the series would be over and we'd still be at 26.

Damon has a lot of heart. He's a real competitor and he brings a lot to our team. He has shown us since day 1 in the pinstripes.
