I can only nod to all the pro teams you've posted.

Along with the 1975 Red Machine, I'd also have to add that the Cinncinatti/Red Sox 1975 WS was the best I ever saw!

80's -Edmonton Oilers - best offensive team ever to play the game

Yeah, the '79-'80 season was Gretzky's first in the NHL. Those Oilers teams with Messier, The Great One, Jari Kurri, Paul Coffey and Grant Fuhr would have been a lot of fun to watch.

Unfortunately, Hawks brass was among many that felt Gretzky couldn't make it in the NHL because of his size. LOL, good call.

I agree with most of what you said except you forgot the Dallas Cowboys of the '90s even though this is a Bears town.

The mid eighties must have the golden age for sports, the Cabi era is 1984-1987.

I really believe that the 2005 White Sox deserve to be a lot higher. If we are talking strictly about TEAM. They were the epitome of team and the saying about the sum was greater than the total of the parts. That's probably paraphrasing but I hope you get the point.

Great thread idea.

What was your rationale in choosing the Bulls team first and the Bears team second? Both were utterly dominant and in it to win it from the start, but I tend to see the '85 Bears as more dominant than anyone else.
