Yes you read that correctly. I fear Terry Bevington has kidnapped Robin and donned a Ventura disguise. Konerko and Rios sitting. Day off tomorrow.....

"I'm here to chew some bubble gum and kick some as$.....and I'm all out of bubble gum".

If they are both dinged okay...Konerko had the eye issue last night. If not it makes no sense to sit both when we are in the fight of our lives and our bench is as god awful as it is. Not to mention a day off tomorrow.

There is no such thing as a bad horror movie with Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Sitting your best two hitters with an off day the next day and only up on the team behind you 0.5 GB is a major managing fail....

yeah maybe Hawk can explain Robin's thought process to us, and tell us again how good our farm system is.

I can see sitting one of them, and if they need rest so bad, the other on Friday. But with Detroit so close, the Sox cannot afford to give away games.

especially given the high level of suc kage of our bench. Its disturbingly reminiscent of the Ozzie sunday lineup debacles.

Unless he feels that two days of rest for both of them would be more beneficial than one followed by another one at some future point. And doing it against a bad team is better than against a good one, obviously.

Oh well, hopefully Quintana pitches like he did in his first ten starts....

He still could give them two days rest. One tonight. One on Friday.

The Hudson at DH thing gave me flashbacks of the Mark Kotsay DH Experiment. I am now huddled in a corner in fetal position.

when the designated HITTER is batting last, it's time to rethink the lineup.

Ugh, Hudson seems like a genuinely good guy. However, he's on my list of Sox players that make me wretch when I see them penciled in the lineup. It's trotting out the husk of a once useful player in order for them to hopefully go 1-4 with a single.

I hope he goes 4-4 and makes me eat these words...
