Can't watch the game tonight - early morning.
Looks like the Braves will win tonight up 6 - 0 in the bottom of the eigth in Atlanta.
I just posted a rival GTD without seeing yours, but had time to pull it. derby_tan seems to think there is magic mojo in my starting it after last night--which I very much doubt!
That said, Hudson was unhittable in Atlanta and Braves have won 6-0, meaning we have to win to stay 5 1/2 up.
After that party last night I'm knocking off, but I might just wake up in a couple hours!
Davey is keeping him out tonite to let the swelling go down. Davey said he might keep him out tomorrow and bring him back for the homestand on Friday. Won't decide until after they check the thumb tomorrow.
Mike said he can play tomorrow, of course, LOL.
Doesn't sound serious, but I'm guessing he's still got some swelling which would affect his ability to grasp the bat and the ball. Better to err on the side of caution anyway.
They are wearing coats in AUGUST!
Here's some more info on Morse:
"The big guy is down," Johnson said. "His thumb is down. Probably the cooler weather doesn't help that."
Morse said he felt fine and expected to be in the lineup on Wednesday for the team's finale against the San Francisco Giants but Johnson made it seem as if a return Friday was more likely.
"I'm fine," Morse said, offering a thumbs up for effect. "They just don't want me to play today. I'll play tomorrow."
"I don’t know that thumb can heal that fast," Johnson said. "Hopefully he’ll be able available Friday. But we’ll see. I don’t know what they’ll do to treat it. If he can go tomorrow, I’ll be happy to have him."
Yeah. Have a feeling we'll miss that big bat tonight.
But, thankfully, not a major injury.
Perhaps if we (God forbid) lose tonight, Davey can be "persuaded" to play him on Wednesday???
Put 'em away!!
