    • ESPN DISSES THE NATS ON THIER MORNING BROADCAST

ESPN could only offer a rather hollow apology in acknowledgement of their omission of the NATS 71st and major league leading victory today during their morning broadcast. It made very angry. The NATS get no respect from talking heads, sports blogs, and now the "Worldwide Leader in Sports?!"

It's a very sad commentary on the editing and production at this 24 hour sports news network. I've lost a lot of respect for
ESPN.

GO NATS! WE WILL CONTINUE TO CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESSES!!!

It's not only ESPN. MLB radio on XM rarely mentions the Nats. When they do, it's always about Strasburg's innings limit and never anything else.

I never used to be paranoid until everyone started to plot against me.

Just because your paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you

<<<BASTARDS!>>>

<OK, that explains it. I turned in about 3 min late and had to watch that whole damn show to catch their highlights. And when they never showed up, I just assumed that I had missed them at the start of the show.

I guess they were just too much preoccupied with their *Second Coming of Mickey Mantel*, *Golden Boy* trout face to even notice.

I really do need to stick to The MLB-Channel more instead.

I say, "Good".

Let them keep underestimating the Nats. Keep them off the radar as much as possible. The more they air the Nats the more other teams will think about them. I would assume, most MLB players watch ESPN and MLB network.
I keep underestimation them, but that’s only because I’m a cynical ol’ (place noun here) pessimistic DC’er.

Go Nats!

By ESPN do you mean the television network or do you mean the radio station ESPN980?

From ESPN comes an uber-fascination with all things basketball or football; I only watch them if MLB network is on some bizarre tangent (which, thankfully, it rarely is).

Consider this: When ESPN deigns to cover baseball, who does it put in the booth? That's right: The 3 Stooges Amigos. I'm convinced that ESPN aims its programs to intellectual idiots (which is about where THEIR so-called analysts rate) and adolescent wannabees.

Did you mean to ask, "By ESPN do you mean the television network or do you mean the Redskin radio station ESPN980?

Just because Snyder doesn't own WJFK doesn't mean THAT station isn't less of a "Redskins" radio station than 980. They're far more concerned about the one team whose games they can't broadcast than the three teams that they can.

(Why do I have the frightening thought that although if the Nats make it to the Series, WJFK will have the right to broadcast the game, they'll move it to their AM station so they can have a talk about a Redskins game occuring at the same time?)

Oh i agree! I think the two stations compete to see who can out 'skin' each other. I don't considerer either station a sports station, i consider both, redskin stations.

Rich, I don't mean to nitpick but I notice you consistently spell Arrington's first name as "Levar." I believe the correct spelling is "LaVar."

That is the correct spelling. And on the subject of those two, I realize they've never had any reason to pay attention to baseball and I'm sure neither of them genuinely enjoys the sport, but they should really invest some time into learning more about it. Listening to them stumble through the 30 minutes a day they may give the Nats is painful.
