I thought this ST was about being injury free to opening day. Instead I hear about all these injuries to Morse Storen Laroche and the others. Pis ses me off that they didn't do a better job. The only guys that should be injured are the guys going all out for the 23 24 25 spots on the roster.

Hya kiddo,

From what I've seen watchin the replay of the Cards game tonight. The 23rd, 24th, and 25th guys have just sat down assured of making the 25 man roster due to all of the injuries. Absolutly no hustle by anyone who took the field !

The only one who seemed to get a bad rap was Gio due to a HP umpire that acted as if he were trying to get Gio to make a remark about his strike zone, which was atrocious, so he could throw Gonzalez out of the game. Gio just kept looking toward the Nats dugout once an awhile, but kept his cool.

GO NATS !!!

The injuries are all so ridiculous. Tape it up and go out there and play.... like Johnny Bench did.

Hello all, alive and well here in Fredericksburg with the 4 horses, hubby and standard poodle.

I am very concerned about this team and the start it will have. I am dismayed that Morse is still out of commission. He needs to keep hitting to keep sharp by his own admission; When he was in SP last year he was terrific; then came the first 6 weeks of major league play and he was lost.
La Roche - he seems like an entire loss. Is he a Johnson replacement for first base? Is it first base that gobbles up our players? Whats the freakin deal?
Other than Zimmermann our pitchers, the ones touted to be such a fantastic starting 4, 5, or 6, stink! Watching these 12-3. 10-1 or whatever shelacking they take and we are supposed to believe that they can just turn it around when the lights come on?

Not buying it! Not one bit!

Not only are there nearly a dozen players with injury/boo-boo issues, the manager has fairly much admitted that his leadership style is "in a Coma."

These mounting injuries are very worrysome. I'm beginning to think that just as we were stating to think that the stars were aligning for us, we are going to be smacked in the face with a brutal year. Our training staff has a track record of ineffectiveness, but LaRoche takes the top honor for "most brittle acquisition." What a waste he has been.

It's no big surprise that Laroche is having his problems throwing. He had his surgery and it takes some time to recover and I don't see that happening in April. I think he'll be better later this year. As for Storen, I think it's a beginning of the elbow problems. I never really liked the delivery which was kinda awkward. I think he will be on his way to TJ surgery sometime in the future. All these injuries are not a good sign for the start of the season.

Hya eddie, Ya typed;"Bravo to Gio for not taking the bait."

Yah, it was real bad for him that day. He was throwing to inside and outside corners, keeping the ball down, but to no avail. The only pitch it seemed Gio had a chance of being called a strike was a ball up and over. Now we all know what happens when ya present that to a ML batter at the plate. Hence, he never found out if the ump woulda called it a strike. ;~(

GO NATS !!!
