<simple>

It's only dangerous if ya want to shoot people that disagree with your views, just for expressing theirs.

Presumably you mean a Featherweight (not "Featherlight"). Nice old gun, but not one with which you should be playing games by testing its cartridge-pressure limits. For hot loads, get something more capable.

You live in a busy Metro region and worried about a home or personal threat beyond 300 yards?

Is this for big-game hunting? Is it for home protection? What??????

<<<Now the teflon coated rounds will likely pass all the way through 3-4 people with ease>>>

way to let the cat outta the bag, rocket.

now, when the gangsters march at the thanksgiving day parade, they will not form a nice neat line.

I thought that armor piercing bullets were outlawed by the Gun Control act of 1968?

The vast majority of hunting rounds can defeat soft body armor.

You're a menace with that weapon and don't need/deserve it. Why don't you just walk around with a vile of anthrax and brag about it?

No. Six has all his teeth and no tattoos. So does Meat.

Unlike us libs, who are all alike, cons come in 3 different styles: Redneck, Whiteneck and Blueneck.

Whitenecks, like Six and Meat are classy.

Rednecks, like rocket, are, well... you know.

Bluenecks, like Joe, Bongo, are so enraged that all you can see in their necks are huge blue veins on the verge of exploding.

Joe and Bongo are probably wimpy-looking, kind of pasty...

Got it! You found rocket!

Because all gun owners wish to kill people?

A bit like anyone who says QB is a lousy hitter is racist right?

I looked into this and found that 180 grain is the max for a .308/7.62.

225 is .338 MAG.

Don't use those rounds, in any .308.

And still it seems you have no peace of mind, are full of anger, and engulfed within a mindset of near total paranoia. Is it possible guns won't lead to the comfort you seek?

Why do you think that way?

Or do you just feel that way?

I found stuff citing a 180 grain maximum for a .308, but I also found a site that said you can go up to 220 grain, at least with a roundnose. But you're basically right, that's a lot of bullet for a .308. It's supposed to be a pretty high-velocity rifle, not a turnip-hurler.
