But fear not, we have Delmon Young, Jhonny Peralta, Brennan Boesch, and Alex Avila.

Brilliant job

i know many were poo pooing that deal as though Youk was finished and wouldn't help... but at least they attempted to better there team.

Sox are legit and definitely the better team right now.

I hate Youkilis with a passion, but would I kill to have him on this team? You bet.

He would have been a better fit for us than Chicago I believe. And DD snoozed.........again.

Texas has some pitching issues and the Sox are just a .500 team leading a garbage division. I still say 85 wins will do it.

I've always liked Youk. Clutch hitter and is playing good defense at 3B. He will improve the Sox.

ok, they still have won 2 in a row.... ( did we take advantage of the Rangers pitching)

at some point, might want to give them a little credit.

They are much better than us right now.

The Tigers actually have a better record in June and July combined than the White Sox, believe it or not.

June and July? You mean the 3 games we have played?

and yet, we are still 5 behind in the loss column. I sort of like to go over the course of the whole year.

But Chicago is 7 games over .500

Tigers are 15-15, White Sox 14-15. The better team _should_ be separating a bit more, but they're not.

Yes they are, but they're not building their lead. They're playing the same sort of baseball as the Tigers right now, rather than pulling away.

Should be....

just like the Tigers should be scoring 1000 runs, right?

have the Tigers played a 16-5 stretch this year? Yea, they cooled off in June after a nice May. Tigers have been pretty consistent, haven't they?

My point is just that the White Sox aren't playing any better than the Tigers over the last month. Yes, the Tigers aren't gaining ground, but they're also not falling further behind.

The "better" team should have caught up to the White Sox but they haven't.

thats true... so hopefully the Sox don't get hot when the Tigers get hot... or else its a wash again

I'm not sure either team is clearly better right now. The White Sox had a hot streak, but they've settled down considerably. I still think head to head the rest of the way is what is going to decide the division, as long as the teams stay close like this.

the White Sox are clearly better RIGHT now...

in 2 weeks, who knows. Right now, the Sox are.
