    • Radio coverage of Series in SE Mich: what station?...

If ESPN radio is carrying the Series, I can't seem to find it in SE Mich. I have Sirius Radio, but it appears that XM is carrying the games. I have watched most of the games on TV, but when in transit from the gym or wherever, I can't seem to pick up the games.

The sports page does not seem to list radio stations along with TV stations covering the Series.

A Chicago station is the closest one carrying it. It's 1000 on the AM dial.

880 AM. WCBS out of NY. Sterling, he's no Ernie, but not bad. Signal is better than 85% most of the time. Better on a clear night.

I notice that Sirius carries NFL games and that XM does MLB. Sirius did have at least one playoff game on. Detroit/SE Mich is something like the 8th biggest TV market. Odd that no station picked up the Series in this AO (area of operations). This could be a result of the loss of local radio programming due to corporate take-overs of local stations.

WJR in Detroit has become a one-track minded station. I miss David Newman's show on WJR of the '80s and '90s.

I still miss J.P. McCarthy's Morning Show on WJR. Don't care for Paul W. Smith and haven't tuned-in WJR since J.P.'s death.

Here's a few short stories to read on the Tigers / Utley / Pedro.
