I hope not. Iwamura isn't much of a player, and I think we'd likely get a lot more production out of Sizemore.

If it got us rid of Guillen, I wouldn't mind, but I'd also probably be kinda hoping that we'd be trying to flip him or them to some other team though.

Couldn't hurt to have Iwamura.

Mlbtraderumers.com says the mystery team is the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Strange for a rebuilding team like Pittsburgh to be interested.

I know, Pittsburgh is ALWAYS rebuilding.

That kinda' solidifies the opinion both Sizemore at 2B and Santiago (utility) are locks for next season.

But it doesn't mean an infielder trade won't come. The Tigers would love to have shortstop Jack Wilson on this team. So look for MLB trade rumors soon involving the Tigers and Seattle -- whom I'm expecting will pick up Jack's 2010 option.

Wilson is just Adam Everett with smaller ears and a bigger paycheck. Anyone who would love to have him on their team is an idiot.

I'd rather keep Polanco or go with Sizemore than Wilson.

Wilson does nothing for me either. Save Wilson's money, sign Everett (or an Everettesque player...Alex Cora?) again and spend the extra on a pitcher. Really...shortstop did not hurt them that much.

Wilson is a shortstop, of course, but he doesn't hit a lick, and he costs a whole lot more than Everett or Santiago. So I have no use for the guy. I think that the Tigers WERE hurt by the anemic offense we got from short, but taking on an expensive guy like Wilson and still getting no production from the position certainly isn't going to help.

In other words, Wilson is a pricey Adam Everett.........

I don't think Wilson is THAT great of a defensive SS either.
