Yikes, Gordon causes Duffy to balk before a 2-2 pitch to Kemp.

Royals win 8-5 putting a nice '4' spot in the 7th. Hoz knocks in 4 RBIs the day I take him in the 2nd round of my Fantasy League.

And I know Yost isn't worried about Soria, but dang...I sure am. 2 innings, 5 hits and 3 ERs. His spring ERA is at 12.00. Who knows, maybe he becomes typical Joakim Soria once the season begins and I worried for nothing, but after the rough year last year, I don't think it's unreasonable to get a little concerned with #48.

Pretty ugly line today for him. I'm like you, I AM concerned. I just hope he doesn't have to blow some leads early on in the season for the team too realize he isn't himself. We must get off to a good start this year in my opinion.

With Broxton and Holland pitching well, if Soria is still out of sorts coming into the season proper, the Royals don't need to immediately use him as the closer. I hope the Royals see it that way at least.

"the Royals don't need to immediately use him as the closer"

I agree and if there is an issue with Soria I hope the feel the same way.

Young team that is getting some attention and have a little higher expectation the last thing they need is early crushing losses.

Should have traded Soria a while ago. With the way closers are used, they are the most overrated players out there. It's relatively easy to find someone to close, and easier to find a very good closer than a very good player at any other position. If something is wrong with Soria, then the ship to get anything good for him has sailed.

The point isn't to trade him anyway? I understand the reasoning that trading him when his value was high.. but who knew Soria was gonna tank? And ya it would of been nice getting something back for him but we got him off the scrapheap anyway and who knows if he's gonna do that bad in season... So just chill.

theprocess is right on the money with this one. I've said for the past two years that Soria hasn't been the same since his injury. He has become our very own roller coaster since then.

Not to say I wouldn't have grumbled were he traded, but...

Come on, these guys who cannot see into the future are really bringing this team down. Is it to much to expect little clairvoyance from these high paid people.

Thursday March 22nd at 3:00 pm on MLB Network. That will be a split-squad game.

It seems late in the spring to still have split squads.

I guess the 4th and or 5th outfielder and who and how many infielders to keep is in doubt yet along with the rotation.

Boy I hope the catchers they come north with are not already with them.
