Teahen talks about being the White Sox starting 3B, being traded and having Ozzie as a manager. <http://www.mouthpiecesports.com/media/mark-teahen-on-his-trade-to-the-white-sox-23346/

I'll miss Teahen. I hate that we traded him to the Sox though.

To sum up the interview. Mark will miss Kansas City, but he's happy to be with an organization that actually tries to win rather than try to make money. I'm happy for Teahen, I can't blame the guy for being ready to leave KC. This team as much as I love them, is pretty pathetic and is seemingly years away from even being decent.

I guess I dont understand why he was traded for two guys that are basically a carbon copy of Teahen. Unless like you say it was money related. Neither of the two guys at this point has a position!! We currenty have a third baseman, and also a second baseman!!

The guy we got was 25 out of 27 steals so at least he can make the other teams pitchers think about him when he does get on,some thing we didnt have. and he has to have alot more range than alberto at 2nd.could help Luke some.

>> I guess I dont understand why he was traded for two guys that are basically a carbon copy of Teahen. <<

This trade was about adding players that Moore can control for few years and pocketing 5 million. It's simply a 2 for 1 and now Moore controls Getz for the next 5 seasons and Fields for the next 2-3.

>> We currently have a third baseman, and also a second baseman <<

I'll make a bet that Getz is the starting 2B with Callaspo either moving to a new position or new team. Gordon will be KCs 3B, no question, with Fields platooning at 3B, OF and DH.

The only thing Teabags has punished in his years in KC is the eye black and possibly cowhide, lol

The guy is a no talent loser and I'm glad the Royals got rid of the scrub. I hope Greinke beans him with a high and tight one next year.

The white sox are a sinking ship and the Royals are a team on the rise and now that Teahen isn't setting a bad example for Alex .....watch Gordo break out this year huge

Teahen was ok but I think this guy we got has allright numbers for a rookie 2nd baseman and will be a big improvement over Alberto.this will leave us a good switch hitter as a backup for 2nd and 3rd and DH.

Teahen won't do any damage against us. Just throw him the high strike.

LOL - A team with a rotation of Peavy, Buehrle, Danks and Floyd is a sinking ship.

- How - as a Royals fan - can you carry such hatred for the guy? How can you call him a scrub? As I pointed out in a different thread he was fifth on the team in on-base percentage and slugging. Now, I'll be the first to admit that he is a bit overrated, but still... I'm shocked.

I'm a Sox fan and just wanted to let you guys know you are getting a heck of a player out of Getz. He has speed and can be a great #2 hitter. As for Fields...not so sad that he's leaving but I feel the Sox never gave him a chance to thrive. He could be a SOLID first baseman or DH for years to come. It also sounds like we gave up too much for Teahen.

Saving money was the reason for Alex Gordons demotion earlier in the yr. So he could be controlled for another yr. This organization is all about saving money now. But then again if I was Glass I would skeptical as well the way my money had been spent over the past two yrs. I did read an article on a baseball site that the Royals organization was just one of the small market organizations that bigger market owners were complaining about pocketing the luxury tax money instead of spending it on their baseball operations.

Cody, please. Teahen is a no-talent loser. And you hope takes a fastball to the head. Good grief, man! Aren't you embarrassed? You should be.

Those are two of the most idiotic statements I've EVER seen anyone make on this board, and that's saying something. Having an unhealthy crush on Alex Gordon doesn't make you a fan. It makes you a better than even money bet for drawing a restraining order. Your staggering lack of knowledge of the game isn't mitigated by your ridiculous assertions about Teahen's negative influence on Gordon (are you SERIOUS?) or the state of the White Sox visa vie the Royals. And your hope that Teahen takes a fastball to the head is nothing short of disgraceful. Disgraceful.

You are a childish imbecile. Unfortunately for the rest of us, that's not news.
