According to Henry Schulman of the San Francisco lefthander Noah Lowry will become a free agent today. The Royals should try to sign him, he could make an excellent addition to the Royals rotation.

Lowry has been injured the last two years, which is why a team would choose to put a left-handed starting pitcher that just turned 29 through waivers. This would be a good low risk high reward signing. I imagine there will be quite a few teams kicking the tires on him.

Yeah...Sounds good. The way it sounds, those kind of deal's are about all we can expect this off-season...I'm crossing my finger's that they can find some cheap talent and possibly squeeze some more out of the players they already have.A decent lefthander would be nice.Any idea where Lowry is in his rehab?

Schulman reports that Lowry's agent, Damon Lapa, said "Noah is completely healthy throwing three days a week on his normal offseason program without any restrictions."

Obviously there is not much of a chance that payroll will be increased, so these are the type of pickups I hope the Royals are looking at. Maybe Lowry can come here and resurrect his career and have some trade value in July…

Seems like a low risk to sign him. Why not?
