They were clearly the best team this season, no doubt about it. The signings worked out pretty well for them. I mean, you are expected to win the title when you sign all the best Free Agents on the market, but it's by no means a given.

I really hope this championship woke up our Front office. We need to spend money (wisely) to catch up to the yankees, simple as that.

Hopefully now that they got the WS they "worked" so hard for in the last off season they won't feel they have to corner the entire free agent market again this off season. If they buy a couple of the top three or four FAs again this off season coming off already winning the WS it's going to make it rather hard to get excited about baseball next year.
