phillies need to win the next 2 at home or the world series is over.

that being said, i give them a one in ten chance of winning tonight.

Whoever wins tonight, wins it all.

But this is potentially such a miss match, Im going to bed early tonight and not gonna even bother watching it.

Game 4 of the World Series - New York Yankees (2-1) @ Philadelphia Phillies (1-2)

The Phils beat CC and his MC Hammer pants before so they have to do it again. They need to win tonight of they are in big trouble.

The Philly Steak sounds delicious!

No, but their chances will be greatly diminished. The pitching matchups are just not in their favor, and they never were. If you believe the old adage about good pitching stopping good hitting, the Phils are underdogs to say the least.

Having said that, anything is possible in a short series. If CC takes a line drive off his knee in the first inning tonight, the Yanks are probably going home empty-handed.

(I won't be interrupting this gameday thread once the game is underway, btw.)

They beat CC because Sabathia gave up 2 runs over 7 innings, and Cliff Lee pitched a complete game shutout. It's not like they hammered Sabathia, and on many nights, even most nights, they would have lost that game. The Yanks have an impressive record this season when keeping their opponents to 3 runs or less.

This series is over. C.C. will take them to 3-1 with 3 games left to play, the last 2 in NY with C.C. ready for game 7 if needed.
