Pedro should get to Cooperstown wearing a Sox hat. We will never forget him.

For a few years, that mound belonged to him & that was during the biggest hitting era in baseball history.

We was way above his peers from '98 to '03, & it was great that he was able to get a ring for the Sox.

Well, he wouldn't go in wearing a Mets hat, so probably the only alternative to Boston would be Montreal, right, terrible? I'd be shocked if he didn't go in as a Sox.

It was really something in those days to watch him pitch a game.

I agree Maggie. Pedro was great to watch and i was hoping he would pitch well, he didn't disappoint. I am on Facebook to keep in touch with some ppl. It isn't a baseball site but one obnoxious Yankee fan has made it that way in her posts. I have ignored all her statements until she posted "who's your daddy". I wasn't too kind with my words but did leave profanity out. Wish she would go spout at the Yankees board instead of there. I did say all of this to her in private, i have class, she never did.
I will leave with Gooo Phillies, even though some of their fans are very obnoxious, i guess we all have them. I can be one of them at times :-) You though are always gracious.

He pitched very well, did not embarrass himself at all. Good enough to win most nights especially with that Philly lineup.

Burnett earned his keep & he was just better that night, fair & square. The series is right where it needs to be at this point, 1-1.

This has been a fairly dull playoff season, so this series has the making of a real 7 game classic that will be remembered. (I think or hope).

TY, bosbar, for your kind words.

It's very frustrating, isn't it, to be in a situation such as you describe in Facebook and have someone who insists upon bringing in the negativity. It's especially tough if the other people in the group aren't part of the RS-NYY rivalry. I don't know if that's the circumstance there for you, but I've find myself in dilemmas like that before, where I had to choose between standing up to the bully or letting it go out of respect for the others in the group who weren't baseball fans.

It bugs me as it involves Pedro. I would think at this point that his accomplishments would have earned him respect--not necessarily affection from all quarters--but respect, yes. And the fact that he's worked through some difficult years here and at least made the beginnings of a noteworthy comeback only increases my respect for him.

She is now on "ignore" I won't have to read her daily posts. :-) No one else responds other than a couple of her friends and family in NY or NJ. She knows i live in Boston and am a Redsox fan and have been since 1967 when i would take the trolley in with a gf to see the games, great year! Paid a $1.00 for standing room but would "take" better seats until we were asked to move, again and again.
She has become a Yanks fan recently lol
She is your typical NY rude fan. Now i don't have to deal with it :-)
A month ago she sent a pic to me, a supposed couple from Mass wearing a T shirt saying "we live in Massachusetts and love the Yankees" @%@^$&#*#*%& to her

Well at least their FO went out and turned A-Rod into what Ortiz was and is set up for a long long time.

We on the other hand have made no major trade since 04.

.........Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd (drum roll please) ALL THE CORE PLAYERS ARE COMING BACK - oh boy, jump for joy.

Good luck Pedro!

He has pitched pretty well in the playoffs - he just needs more help from the offence.

"Off-point"? When responding to me, there is no such thing...

I live in an apartment in a nice neighborhood of San Francisco, but had no tricksters, or treatsters, either.

We visited San Francisco once, and like it a lot. A lot of character (and characters) there.
