Phil Collins is funny, in an "stuck in the 80's" kinda way

You say that like it's a bad thing.

I used to be a drummer, so maybe there's a bit of a man-crush at play here, but he seems ok to me.

Phil is good at what he does. I think people always question his projects, though.

"Land of Confusion" holds up as one of the great all-time songs, IMHO. Of course, Genesis has great lawyers so it's pointless searching for any of their stuff on YT.

I liked that song. Classic summary of the 80's regime.

Yep. You were in a band!

One more...

Why do guitarists put drumsticks on the dashboard of their car?

I happen to love Phil Collins. Although I must admit I love the 80s solo/Genesis music more then the more recent stuff. I agree with Land of Confusion, I also think songs that get made fun of such as "Another Day in Paradise" is a great song, much like "Both Sides" the line about the man with gun in that song is dead on.

Nah, any ol' monkey can play the drums:

(Looks like the Nairobi Trio have their new drummer.)

You got it, avril.

Also, "Follow You Follow Me" by Genesis is one of the most romantic "pop" tunes ever written IMHO.

So they can use the handicapped parking spots. :D

It only takes five drummers to replace a lightbulb. One to actually do it, and four others to discuss how much better Neil Peart would've done it.

How does a lead guitarist change a lightbulb? They just hold it while the world revolves around them.

;-)

I absolutely love Phil Collins's music, even when he was with Genesis. That song "Land of Confusion" is one of my all time favorites, I just love that video. LOL!

He sure had/has some great talent.

Invisible touch is also a great one, despite it's main stream and everyone knows it factor. I've always considered Phil the kind of stuff you play if you are at home or work at a desk all day. It's not something you play rocking down the highway :)
