If I made a quick forum, would every migrate that way? I'm just getting sick of the way this board is set up, and people keep getting banned, no cussing, the damed Redsfest 2006 thing...I could make a forum that isn't re tarded. If not, its cool...just thought I'd ask.

I definitely agree...I was hoping if I did, everyone on here would just pick up and go there...nothing changes but the forum itself...to be honest, this is the worst forum I have ever seen as far as the way its set up.

well i dont think everyone will just pick up and leave... i've been on here for some years and still find it enjoyable

i dont go to any other reds forums (i think the only other one i know of is redzone) but this is definitely a better setup than the comments sections on cincinnati.com and i think this mlb.com setup is better than the nfl.com boards (cant say i spend any time there either)

I have been on this forum for nearly 7 years and it does have its ups and downs. For example we do not have nearly the amount of trolls we use to have which can never be a bad thing. Bad things would be the amount of words that are banned even though they shouldnt be and as you stated the amount of people getting banned for things that dont even make sense. I do not always agree with JC but he is entitled to his opinion and Kasko getting banned was crazy. The one thing about this board is except for a core group others seem to come and go. It would all depend on the quality of your board would determine if people switch. Put together a good product and I am sure others would follow.

One of the things I like about this board is the absence of the perpetual food fights that plague most boards. Yes, there are clashes, but they usually get resolved in pretty short order. <I know, I used to get involved in them just as much as anyone else. I've changed my mind about how useful that was>

The rules can be onerous at times, but I guess I've gotten used to them and don't really find them to be a problem. I like the fact that we get folks from other teams boards giving us their perspective. I also like the fact that we continually get new blood in here. I think you would find that hard to duplicate without the MLB brand.

I wish you the best of luck, but I think I'd probably stay here. Us old folks do get set in their ways. ya know.

I like the message board that John Fay runs at Cincinnati.com, and I've posted there a few times, but it takes WAAAAAAY too long to get your post, posted.....But it does provide you with some good reading and there are some very EXCELLENT posters that I wish would come over here. But I like this board (even if they did ban me!)

I created this one as a possible one for people to go to as well. I still will use this one and read it. but anyone that wants to come to my board is more then welcome to. I'm still working on it so it should look much nicer in the coming days.
