is it just me or have there been MANY more bannings in the very recent past than there have been in the past few years?

compare that to what at least i've encountered as a very tempered time on the board recently as opposed to all the fire that was thrown around on here before last season

I don't post hardly at all, but I do read the board quite often. I can't understand how a nice guy like kasko61 got banned. There are several on here who use curse words all the time, kasko61 hardly ever does. And he certainly does not talk filth and sexual stuff, either.

and like i said earlier, there is cursing going on and the like, but i remember the board being much more of a mudslinging type of place a year ago, 2 years ago what have you... i think things have been relatively tame here recently

maybe that's it; been too quite the mods are trying to stir things up, banning folks that have been here a while

well there have been "great banning eras" years back, but i believe they stemmed from massive arguments and personal attacks... nothing thats really been going on here recently

not saying that we're seeing one of those type of eras coming back, but there is, at least in my mind, a noticeable trend starting

It was awful on here a couple years back. I had to take a hiatus till people grew up. But, you're right, people are behaving better now. I just don't understand what people are doing wrong now. There's definitely a banning Naz! going around here. Less trolls, though. Yeah, there are some people on here that were inappropriate and deserved bannings, but it's going to the extreme now. I never have been happy with this board since they switched formats. WHO'S NEXT?

I remember back in Winter/Spring 2006 it got rough around here, but all has been pretty calm since then.

lately (especially since the season ended) it's been mostly just the regulars with the regular banter and minor disagreements

Yes, I had a few others during that banning era, but they all got banned. I was Wildcat Red, Polecat Red, FogHorn Leghorn, Herman Munster, etc. takeyertimewatchyerstep was my original though, and that's why I'm Takeyetime now!

I remember that old moniker.... I was just reading back in those days as posting meant an immediate slap down if you stepped on any toes. Come to think of it... if a noob steps on toes here today he gets his nose tweaked too. I guess things haven't changed so much afterall. ;)
