expected outcome... but man zach collaros is looking like the perfect guy to lead this spread offense in 2010 and 2011 after Pike is gone. Not only can he make the throws, but this kid can run

binns is turning into a stud now that teams are having to pay so much attention to gilyard... and pead is only going to get better.

ABC picks up the game next sat. night against UCONN

I'd be leery of UConn, they're still looking for an inspirational win after 2 straight heartbreakers. 13 points separate them from being undefeated. However, UConn embarrassed the Cats last year and Cincy has won 14 straight since.

If UC is gonna get any serious consideration for a shot at the BCS championship game, they're really gonna have to take it up to another level. That win over Oregon is looking better and better every week for Boise, although I think the Ducks would spank their ash if that game was played again this weekend.

yeah i'm leery of uconn as well, hoping that they are able to just take care of business and score early and often... although i've been leery of everyone so far and will be here on out

UC is gonna need osu to take care of iowa and then after either florida or alabama fall to the other, some major luck with something happening to texas... i dont really think texas will lose, but i've still got my fingers crossed...

even if UC goes 12-0 and still doesnt get the national championship bid... i'll still be very happy with what they get and where the program has gotten

Yeah, you can almost forget about Texas losing another game. Their toughest opponent left is TAMU. It's too bad though because UT's non-conference schedule is laughable and they barely beat an OU team playing without Bradford. About the best you could hope for is that UT has to play an unranked opponent in the Big 12 title game.

I can tell you what the BCS has to worry about though, if Alabama loses to LSU this weekend and whoever wins the SEC West (LSU would hold the tie-breaker but LSU has stumbled over Arkansas the last 2 years) beats the Gators in the SEC CG. Should UC, Iowa, and Oregon all go unbeaten the rest of the way it'll be a total quagmire.

Oregon and Iowa would have a claim because both teams have beaten a top 5 team (PSU and USC were both #5 when they lost to those two) and Texas has not. UT's biggest win was over then #14 Ok. St. (OU was #20). UC has beaten a top 25 team (USF) and hopefully Pitt will stay unbeaten until they play UC. If Pitt cracks the Top 10 and UC beats them, then UC would have a claim over UT as well. Boise and TCU don't really have a prayer, but they'll be BCS busters too if either are still in the top 8.

given the unlikelihood of it all falling into place perfectly, i'm really just going to be happy with a B.E. championship

if they can make this kind of thing happen for a few more years, the love will come... they've got some decent non conference competition coming up in the next few years as well

Yeah, but UT does NOT rate a spot in the BCS title game IMO. The Big 12 is very weak this year, every team has lost at least two games except UT. I would be very upset if UC goes all the way and gets shut out by the QueerSteers.

Oh don't get me wrong i'll be just as mad as i was when UC got snubbed 4 years ago (i think) in favor of air force going to the ncaa tourny.

I'm just preparing myself for it b/c in the current system the voters have the "cool kids table" mentality and unless you've done it before, you're not invited

benefit of the doubt given to the past powerhouses that have schedules that are just as weak as those of teams like UC

but that's the system that's in place and for the time being we'll just have to deal with it

one thing that would really shake the current system to its core would be UC making it to the national title game

sponsors wouldn't know what to do with themselves and a change to a playoff system maybe then would garner more support from the powers that be in the ncaa... but not likely

UC can help itself a lot for the future. If they do win the Big east championship and play a real quality opponent, they need to beat them soundly. This would turn the necessary heads for the future. The game against Virg Tech last year didn't help their cause for a national championship game.

Yeah, sounds like MLB in a way. There is such a disparity between the have's and have nots. Makes you wonder how BYU ever won a NC back in '84. They beat a 6-5 and unranked Michigan team on Christmas Eve in the Holiday Bowl, the first time a #1 team had ever played in a non-New Years Day bowl game.

They beat a #3 ranked Pitt squad, but that was their only win against a ranked school at the time they played them. Michigan had been ranked #2 earlier in the year, but fell out of the top 25 by their 6th game. Pitt also finished the season unranked (they finished 3-7-1). BYU wasn't ranked at the beginning of the year and shot all the way up to #12 after beating Pitt. There were seven different teams to be ranked #1 that year.

Barry Switzer accused them of playing a "Bo Diddley Tech" schedule, LOL!

Ohio State's not going to UC? Didn't they nearly lose to UC, at UC, on a last second play back during their last title season? Hopefully they win those games. I wish Ohio State would lose every game, or just dissolve the entire school and its athletics.

<<Ohio State's not going to UC? Didn't they nearly lose to UC, at UC, on a last second play back during their last title season?>>

yes, and ohio state was originally scheduled to come to cincinnati, but then backed out of it and paid UC a cool $1 Million to move the game to columbus

<<wish Ohio State would lose every game, or just dissolve the entire school and its athletics>>

can't say that would bother me much
