The Blue Jays just keep getting better making it harder for the Rays who are in the same division. The Jays now have 3 three top shelf starters in Dickey, Johnson, and Beuhrle w/ a lineup that now starts w/ Jose Reyes. Adding Bautista and Incarmsion to middle of this line up makes it solid.

I think the Rays still have a better starting rotation in the division w/ the best hitter in Longo. But they can pitch around Longo. That's why I think Meyers should start the season as a Ray, not in the minors. Also, the Rays still need a solid RH and LH DH w/ power and a good OBP.

I hope the Rays make more moves before Opening Day.

If you watched any Rays ball from 2011 (something very few posters do here) then you would have seen how awful Kotchman really was. Classic journeyman, injury prone, can't hit lefties, average defense, slower than Molina.

Fluke season created by Maddon doing his matching thing. When you look behind the numbers he did not come home (becaause he could not go from 1st to 3rd or 2nd to home). RBIs were far from short and his slugging pct was close to his career number. That means he lost power since his avg was higher.

whosmad now, I got an eyeful of the 2011 season and "CLassic journeyman that you claimed was injury prone, that cant hit lefties, was average on defense and was slower than Molina batted .300 plus for the whole season and had a defense of .987 at first and was not injury prone and no-one is slower than Molina, includin the turtles on the beach out here.

comin home? No-one's comin home if they're not on base cause Kotch isn't a big homerun hitter. Singles, doubles kind of guy! Also, he didn't need power to carry an avg. Power is overrated when ya have finesse.

Ya, I know its not much of a 'legacy' for a team but I think most fans will take the opportunity to advance as opposed to just bein shut out in the cold.

ROFLMAO!!!!! Those drinks at the post must really be strong.....That is absolutely ridiculous, Freeman is now, and will be the Bucs QB.......Tebow has no place in Tampa Bay with the Bucs as QB, a backup or on the practice squad.....When the Jets cut Timmy boy loose he will become a Jacksonville Jaguar......period!

I think he would make a good running back say in the full back short yardage mold. He's built like old #40...But as a NFL quarterback he couldn't make most teams that truly want to compete..Tebow is an excellent athelete but no arm for Qbacking..

Art today Freeman had another 4 int. performance. That's 8 int. in the last two games.

Winnin's gettin tougher by the game! You sure Tebow ain't the way to go?

Unless you want somebody worse!....Tebow is NOT, and never will be, an NFL QB........If he wants a career in the NFL then become a HF or TE and maybe, just maybe, he might have some moderate success.....I said from day one he has a better chance of becoming something in the CFL....And for those who think he'd put 20,000 more in the seats as a Buc, that is a pipe dream......

The Bucs have the offensive weapons, but they lack a smart QB....Add in the injuries and a defensive backfield that other than Lavonte David and Ronde, is totally inept and you have your reason why the Bucs can't win, but it starts at QB and Freeman is NOT the answer, nor is Timmy Boy.
