I read on another forum that the Yankees, not including their publically financed billion dollar stadium, have spent over a billion dollars to buy a championship since their last WS title. Wow!

I wonder if this will lead to changes. Something is going to have to give sooner or later where there are team with payroll's like the Yankees and teams that can barely afford having a team payroll as high as A-Rod, Sabathia and Teixiera's combined yearly salary.
