Joe Buck all but announced he'd have A-Roid's baby.

what a bunch of goofs. Fox can't even be "fair and balanced" in sports.

Im guessing youre slap at Foxnews means your a donkey? Well, im no effalump, im a "new libertarian", but if you actually think CNN, USA Today and other liberal arts majors running the US news media arent slanted, ive got a speck of sand i saved from my vaca in Hawaii id like to sell ya for a cool couple mil... just add alittle water and youll have youre own Hawaian Island all to yourself... in fact, if you act today, i'll give it to ya for 1.9 mil, just cuz its you...

geeez... ever think maybe THATS the reason why youre 'bleeped"?

After spending $400M on free agents in the off-season, if the Yankees don't win the WS all the fans will have to consider this season a failure. And the rest of us will laugh. It's an unfair competitive advantage to have that kind of money to blow on players, but anyone outside LA and Philadelphia NOT thinking they'll win it all is just wagging their lucky rabbits foot and hoping for disaster. It should be no surprise FOX announcers expect the expected.

Might as well do what I do and use the mute function on your remote. It is ether that or Insulin. Too much Yankee sugar for me.

I just have to laugh: I was in the Bay Area listening to some late night call in sports radio show, and some Yankee fan with a thick New Yawk accent called in, complaining that ESPN is pro-Red Sox and constantly rips the Yankees.

It's all a matter of perspective, I suppose.

I'm just tired of those two in general. McCarver is like the energizer bunny, he just goes on and on and on.....

Every year I hope Tim McCarver retires.

At least half the time that McCarver tries to impart his corney words of wisdom I'm telling him to "shut up."

The biggest problem I have with the announcing is that act like everybody that is watching have never seen a baseball game before.

I like the matchup in the WorldSeries. Defending Champs vs The Rich & Famous.

the defending champs can slug with anybody, but their rotation isn't quite as good.

Rotation? Oh yeah, you're talking about that 3 man starting pitching staff. Maybe MLB will toss in a few more off days so playoff teams will only have to use two. Then again, with baseball in November, maybe the plan all along was to let Mother Nature take the blame.

yes, the Yankee 1-3 are better than the Philly 1-3. Doesn't mean they will win, but they are the better rotation. And they have the best in the business in Rivera to close it out. Lidge can be really good and he can be really bad. Advantage: Yankee's. IMO

Advantage Yankees, absolutely. The Phillies are baseball's second best team imo, so it's one of those rare times when the games actually play out right. I hope the Phillies win it, but it will take a lot of breaks going there way, i.e., hard hit balls right at a defender, ropes pulled just foul, etc. and Lidge somehow getting it done again. I just hate the Yankees, yeah really it's hatred, so much.

gotta love you libertarians. teabags and all. lol.

what you still don't get, is even if an independent gained office (which reps and dems will NEVER let that happen), is everyone in this country is ignoring the elephant in the room ( CORPORATIONS). as long as lobbying is legal, you, me, and anyone else in this country will NEVER be represented by Congress. plain and simple.

what is holding up the salary cap in baseball? i would think viewership would be down this year because people are sick of it pretty much always being Boston or NY in the playoffs/WS. but my guess is so many people hate the yankees, they'll watch just in hopes of them losing.

i read and article where they (yankees) have their site on Holliday and it's not even Winter. to me, it's disgusting to the sport that a team can field that many high priced players. i think they hurt the sport more than they help it. jmo.

As usual, you only target the lobbying by groups that are pro-business (why does that not surprise ANYONE). What about the lobbying by unions, by MoveOn, by The Sierra Club, etc. I guess they don't have any influence at all on this cluster, right? Lobbying would not even be an issue if there were term limits. Their influence would largely be negated, but you libs would never in a million years take away the opportunity for your heros to remain in power indefinitely.
