I'm starting a new society, Skull & Bones. It's easy to transfer your membership from the SSS which has come under attack and questionable. The founding "father" no longer participates. The director resigned (under pressure) and I would have also.

I urge you to join this new and improved society. All awards from the SSS will be noted if they are sports related. Here's my list as it stands:

**Goober - The Society's 6th two-time winner. Won the 2008 PMB Fantasy Basketball League (Granny Shots). And was bestowed an Honorary Star, for creating and running The State Tournament.

Javy - Won the 2009 PMB Fantasy Baseball League.

**Scorp - The Society's 8th two-time winner. Won the 2009 Accuscore Challenge Roto Fantasy League. And won the 2009 Pirates Attendance Prediction Poll.

Bones - Won the 1st Annual Hawkd NCAA Tournament Pick 'Em Invitational.

Here's what I'm thinking. I don't like the idea of a director. I would much like a trio of posters to make decisions. It matters not who they are. I want posters who give a kwap about this board and the new S&B Society. I don't have to be in the mix.

I don't think we'll get much response. Change even for the good is always difficult.

I've taken this step to try and release those posters from the chains of the SSS.

We will all be equal as Pirate fans and that the way it should be.

You don't have to win a contest to join this club. You can be you and participate in all voting. Your opinion is very important to me and other members (I have none). This is meant to be a public forum. The results of prior contests will be noted and documented. All members will get one vote on issues concerning the Skull & Bones Society. One poster and one vote. Kinda simple...don't ya think?

I hope my list of posters will grow and we can again recapture OUR board.

Well this is very disturbing to me. I always have and still want to win a Stargell Star. Now it seems this conveted society is going to come under attack and may fold. For me the use of a Pittsburgh icon's name was a great name for an award given on the PMB. Skull & Bones, wasn't George W. in some society like that?? Oh well if it comes to be I will strive to win one of these dam contest.

I won a poll one year (and didn't do too badly in the other years). That's all there is to it. There's enough nonsense related with following the Pirates. I'm not a member of any "society". I'm just a guy who wants the Pirates to be good.
