Since there has been so much talk of it, I am declaring myself czartator of the Sour Grapes Society.

Here is how it works...anyone can get a grape, all one has to do is nominate someone for one, and the society will vote. Each person gets ONE vote regardless of number of grapes. There are already a few charter members, including myself that have been proclaimed by the board.

Alvarez10- A grape for apparently being ticked he isn't in the SSS.

Kovie (2)- Dropping out of the SSS for no reason. Complaining about Scorp's season poll.

McHostage (2)- Quitting the SSS because 21 got in. Giving up the seaoson prediction poll.

21thebest- For his continued arguments with McHo.

Gio- For not making the SSS and copying anothers poll entries in some poll.

Scorp- According to Kovie, for everything.

Sanoless- For being angry that the team did not sign Miguel Angel Sano and trolling the board with updates.

Mongoose- Because Alvarez10 feels like having him in.

IF I am missing any, please, nominate others. If anyone has any sour grape poll ideas, I would be all for that too.

With some time, this society will eventually be in higher stander and more valued than the SSS.

Your Sour Grapes Society seems to ASSUME much. You should put it to a vote. Yes/No "Do I want to be a member.

I would just like to say that no society created on this board will be more valued to me then the SSS. Willie Stargell is by far and away my favorite all time Pirate. I wear his jersey constantly. Since the first day I read about it I have prayed to become a member. If the dam Pens would have lost that last game I'd be in.

Maybe this should be named after a player too, like Brandon Moss or Bryan Morris I think would be fitting.

This will be the Derek Bell SGS. He gets the ultimate sour grape for going into operation shutdown, refusing to compete for a starting spot, the year after he hit about .173 (jeez, I didn't even have to look that up, that is sad).

This society will be in his honor.

There is no resigning from the SGS...once in, you are a lifetime member.
